LAUGHING WITH JESUS
"Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not
thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those
that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. For yet a little
while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider
his place, and it shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth; and
shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plotteth
against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The Lord shall
laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming."
Psalm 37: 8-13
Many nights when I go to bed, I start laughing out loud with Jesus.
I start telling Him how much I appreciate all He has done for me that day.
Then, all of a sudden, I am laughing. It is because Jesus always
gets the victory over satan in every situation. Yes, we may allow
satan to win a little battle, but he will never win the war. Jesus
has already defeated satan through His Precious Blood, which He shed for
us.
The Bible says that, "The Lord shall laugh at him". I would much
rather Jesus was laughing with me and not at me. How about you, is
Jesus laughing with you or at you?
I heard a Pastor say in a sermon, "There is no such thing as a gloomy
Christian." I didn’t know what that meant until I surrendered my
entire life to Jesus. It is true that I still get discouraged, but
it does not last! When I go to bed at night and start talking to
Jesus, the Joy of Jesus flows over into my heart.
The Bible says, "The Joy of the Lord is your strength". I don’t have
that Joy. You don’t have that Joy. We could never generate
that Joy. It is Jesus Who is our Joy! It is His Joy that rises
in us and causes us to overflow with Peace even in the midst of heartache
and turmoil.
Have you ever laughed with Jesus? If not, then you are missing an
excitement and happiness that is impossible to put into words.
When you start to catch even a little glimpse of the Love of Jesus for
you, then you will also laugh with Jesus. You won’t be able to
contain the happiness that will flood your heart. I challenge you to
start laughing with Him. Not only will you be happier, you will make
the Heart of Jesus to rejoice.
