IT DOESN’T MATCH

Separator

"But the tongue no man can tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be."
James 3:8-10

Many times I have asked my sister to tell me what blouse goes with what slacks.  I do not know how to match colors.  The Bible says that blessing and cursing do not match.

Have you ever given someone a compliment, and then went home and cursed at your family members?  Jesus says, "These things ought not so to be".  If we do these things, then I submit to you on the Authority of the Word of God, our hearts are not right before Him.

We need to come to the realization that when we say and do cruel things to each other, we break the Heart of Jesus.  If we really love Jesus, then why do we do these things?  We need to search our hearts and confess to Him all the bitterness, resentment, hatred and jealousy.

Some of us are still hanging on to the way we were treated by someone years ago.  Let it go!  Where would we be if Jesus punished us for all the things we have done in our past?  You are not perfect, and neither am I.

We need to stop condemning and start forgiving as Jesus has commanded us to do.  Forgiving others is not an option; it is a Commandment from Jesus!  When we refuse to forgive, and keep bringing the past up, then we are sinning.
