GOD’S TENDER HEART
“But the children of Israel
walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall
unto them on their right hand, and on their left. Thus the Lord saved
Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the
Egyptians dead upon the sea shore.”
Exodus 14:29-30
I have heard parents telling their children, “If you don’t stop that, I am
going to ground you”. However, they didn’t ground them for as long
as they said they would. I always thought they were just being
permissive parents until I got Baby, my parakeet.
I have told Baby several times if you don’t stop nipping at me, I am going
to keep you in your cage for the rest of the day, but a couple of hours
later, I relent and let her out of the cage. I know her heart and I
know she is a very loving and tender companion and that she is just having
a bad day. The same is true with Jesus, He is so Tender and Loving
to us.
Jesus knows our heart better than anyone does. He can see past the
barriers we put up for the world. He knows that down deep we love
Him even when we are disobedient to Him. Just as He rescued Israel
after they had disobeyed and turned away from Him countless times, He
rescues us time and time again.
If we are tender with our pets and children, how much more is the Heart of
Jesus tender toward us? He knows that we will once again act like
His children should act. We should thank God every day of our life
for His Understanding and Tender Heart.
