WHAT A SAVIOUR!

Separator

"Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him."

atthew 27:27-31

I am not feeling well. I am extremely weak and I was on my way to bed when these verses came to my mind and heart. I am certain that Jesus did not feel well, and that He was much weaker than I am when he hung on that Cross for us.

Every time I think about the soldiers doing all these horrible things to my Saviour, I am so sad that I can hardly bear it. Yet, even today, you and I continue to mock Him by the way we live our life, and the cruel words that we say to each other.

If we have made a heart commitment to Jesus, then He is the King of our heart. We bow before Him and ask Him to forgive us for something, and then immediately go out and do the same thing. We make a mockery of His Mercy and Forgiveness. May God forgive us!

Are you mocking Jesus today? Are you telling others He is the King of your heart, but continue to live for satan? Are you bowing to Jesus, but continue to say hateful things to one another?
