Thinking on the Word

Being mindful of the Lord is vital. To get to know Him and think of Him the more you acknowledge Him in your life, the more of Himself He will show you.

If, at any time, you find yourself not thinking of the LORD immediately start doing so. It's vital to know His Word and have it within your heart, because the more Word you know the more you can think of Him. The more you think of Him, the more stable your mind becomes.

I have witnessed this first hand being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but I know the LORD is greater than any disorder and sickness.

There are scriptures that will help if you have them in your mind. Isaiah 53:5 states that He was wounded for our transgression, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. That literally shows us the LORD is our Everything, our All in All, Doctor, Father, Justifier, Peacemaker with God, and everything we need.

Another scripture springing to mind is 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." The Lord will correct your mind if your confidence is in scripture.  As a matter of fact, He will correct your mind to WHAT HE SAID!

Romans 12:2 says, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect, will of God." We renew our mind by reading scripture, studying it, and meditating on it.  We allow it to become part of us, by letting it change the way we think.

Choosing to the think on the Word is a choice. We can either think about our troubles or we can think about Jesus, our LORD. Mighty is He! It all starts with seeking Him in His Word for it is Truth.  In fact it is more true than us and it is forever. Settle these things. Let the LORD comfort you. Spend time with Him!
