Well, things haven't settled down much around here. It looks like I might be taking a trip to Tennessee to take care of my oldest son. He's been really sick and the doctor thinks he might have Hepatitis.

This isn't going to be easy. I've got a lot of things to get done around here before I leave.

I should be able to update this from out there. I have to remember to take my files with me. I covet your prayers. Like I said, this isn't going to be easy on me or on my family I am leaving behind.

No matter what happens in my life, no matter how confusing things get, no matter how hectic things get there is one thing that is immovable. God is fixed firmly on His throne. He is not flustered nor is He surprised. I am very glad that He is my Father. I can rest in His loving arms. He comforts me and strengthens me. Praise His holy name!!!

I covet your prayers.

I am in Nashville with my son this week. He is doing much better. I anticipate that I will return home on Friday as scheduled.

Thank you for your prayers and concern. I could feel myself being strengthened knowing people were praying for me and for my son.

Today was a little more relaxing for me. I spent the first few days cleaning and disinfecting everything. My poor hands are all dried out. Today I cleaned out the fridge. That was the last place I hadn't attacked yet.

My son has appreciated the meals I've been fixing him. Since he got sick he has only had the energy to open puddings and other "grab and eat" items. He is looking better by the day. Praise God!

It is so pretty here. I am looking out the window onto grass and trees and pretty birds. Squirrels are running up and down the trees. I had planned on doing some Civil War sight seeing the next time I came. I was going to read up on happenings around here during the war and go see the sights. Next time.

Again, thank you for your prayers. You prayer warriors will never know the full extent of the results of your prayers!

I'm home now and my son is doing fine. He was able to care for himself when I left last Friday and his doctor has cleared him for work as of today.

I'm still trying to adjust to being home. The day after I got home I went to work at a band fund raiser all day. I have not been able to get motivated to get things done. Fortunately, my guys kept the house looking decent.

That's just something to ponder.

I have been doing a good deal of brain work the past two days. I've been fighting with my computer and it seems to be maintaining the upper hand.

It started when I had to make more room on my hard drive. I ran across a program that was a mystery. The only executable file was an install file. I clicked it to try to identify the program. It ran through a quick, blink-of-an-eye install, and never told me what it was.

After that my sounds were gone. I tried to resolve the problem in the device manager and when I said it was OK to restart Windows after deleting one of the conflicting programs, the computer was unable to totally reboot itself. It would freeze up when it got to the desktop. I ended up using the Windows 95 restore disk. That messed up my AOL program. I had to uninstall and reinstall that (twice!) and it still has error messages. So, in simple terms, everything I did went from bad to worse.

As of right now I still don't have any sound and AOL still has error messages, but I did free up a lot of my drive space and I haven't torn my hair out yet!

I wanted to get this online and then I'm going to try two more things to get my sound back. The way things have been going I might knock the whole thing out!

Thank you for your prayers! They really work!!

My computer problems just keep coming. Each time I think I'm in the clear something else goes whacko.

You might have noticed some of the problems I had getting last week's study online. The first time I tried it wiped out everything except the title. I finally ended up emailing it to my son and had him put it online. However, his email program opened the file and put the email header at the top of my page. I left it that way. It was way better than when it was just a title!

I'm in the midst of a spiritual battle. Satanhas attacked my computer and, as a result, my online ministry. He has also been messing with my health, with my family's health, and with lots of other things.

He has succeeded in attacking me where it hurts. Our computer is important to all of us as well is our health. However, he has not succeeded in defeating us. He has only distracted us temporarily. I am polishing up my spiritual armor and sharpening my sword. Begin your retreat, satan !!

As of right now I am having a few difficulties with ICQ and maybe with my email. Don't give up on me if I seem to disappear. I guarantee you it will be temporary! I am a daughter of the King! I can't be squashed!
